We understand that circumstances change, and we respect your decision to cancel your B9 subscription. Before we proceed with the account deactivation steps, we want to express our gratitude for your trust in us and for allowing us to serve you.
If you're ready to delete your B9 account, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Ensure Your Account Has Been Open for at Least 5 Days
You can only close your account after 5 days from when it was opened. This ensures everything is properly set up and that all initial transactions are processed. Once 5 days have passed, the "Close Account" button will appear in your profile, allowing you to proceed with the closure process.
Step 2: Navigate to Your Profile and Choose "Close Account"
Once you've ensured your account has been open for at least 5 days, go to your profile and select "Close Account." Follow the instructions provided, and make sure you've completed any necessary requirements.
Step 3: Remove All Your Funds
Before closing your account, ensure there are no pending transactions or balances due. If transferring money to an external wallet, be aware of possible transfer fees. Take these into account when removing funds from your B9 account.
For a zero-fee option, use ACH transfers. ACH transfers typically take 1-3 business days and, if initiated before 2 PM PST, are often completed the next day.
Step 4: Wait for Pending Transactions to Settle
Give any pending transactions time to finalize. Once they settle, your account balance will reflect the correct available funds, allowing you to proceed with the closure process.
Step 5: Remove Direct Deposit
If you have set up direct deposits, cancel them through your payroll platform or by contacting your employer. Ensure future deposits are sent to a different bank account.
Funds sent to a closed account will be rejected and returned within 3-5 business days.
Step 6: Finalize Account Closure
After completing all the steps above, the "Close Account" button will become active. Select it to initiate the closure. Your account will be scheduled to close after 30 days if no transactions are posted.
If a deposit is made during this time, the closure will be canceled, and you’ll receive a notification. You can also contact us to reverse the account closure if necessary.
