When you open a B9 account, ID verification is not required right away. However, full verification is needed to access all features.
Why complete your verification?
Without verifying your ID, your access will be limited. You won’t be able to order a card, send money, or use most transfer features. Verifying your ID unlocks full access.
What’s the difference between Incomplete and Full Verification?
To use all B9 features, your account needs to go through a verification process. There are two types of verification: Incomplete Verification and Full Verification (with ID verified).
Even with incomplete verification, you can access some features. However, to unlock all functionality like cards and transfers, full verification is required.

How to verify ID
To verify:

Tap the yellow banner on the Wallet tab, or

Go to Profile > ID in the B9 app
Then follow the steps to scan your state-issued ID.
Common Issues with ID verification
In case you fail to scan your ID or driver's license, there might be several reasons behind it. Here are a few things to check:

Expiration Date: Ensure your ID is not expired or that your document has an expiration date, as our system does not accept documents without an expiration date.
- Temporary ID: Ensure your ID is not temporary. Temporary IDs are also not accepted.
- Valid Physical Document: Use the original physical document, not printouts or digital pictures.
- Correct Document: The name on the document must match the name on file.
- Personal Document: Use your own document. Using someone else's document will result in denial.
- Existing Account: Ensure that you don't have an active account under a different phone number. If you have previously had a B9 account, trying to open a new one might cause verification issues. Contact support@bnine.com for assistance.
What if I don't have a valid ID?
If you can’t verify now but need to withdraw funds:

Use ACH Pull: Link your B9 account to another bank to pull funds. There is a daily limit of $250. To withdraw $1000, you will need to pull $250 each day for four days. If you reach the limit, you will have 72 hours to verify your ID, or your account may be blocked.
