Online deposit switch through B9 app
Here are the steps to do online switch of your direct deposit to your B9 account:
Step 1: Login your company or payroll platform via B9 app
Step 2: Switch the fix amount or % of your paycheck to B9
Set a fixed amount or percentage of your paycheck to go to your B9 account, and this will be used to calculate your advance eligibility.
Step 3: Wait for your paycheck
Once your employer deposits $300 or more to your B9 account, your B9 advance will be activated. If you haven’t received an advance offer after your payroll deposit, check here for possible reasons.
Common issues switching online
- Invalid credentials: Ensure you’re entering the correct username and password for your employer or payroll. If you’re having trouble, reset your password or access the platform directly with the correct information.
- Multi-factor authentication: Another reason could be not completing the multi-factor authentication required by your employer or payroll. This could involve a verification code sent through SMS or email, or answering security questions. Contact your employer or payroll if you're not receiving it. NOTE! A typical situation is that after completing the first step of multi-factor authentication by entering the verification code from SMS or email, the system may require you to enter another verification code in the second step, which could be your SSN number or date of birth.
- Can't find your employer or payroll company: Lastly, if you can't find your employer or payroll company, don't worry, use the other 2 options to switch.
Direct access to employer or payment platform
To switch your direct deposit to your B9 account, simply log into your employer or payment platform and route all or a portion of your deposits to B9 using your B9 account and routing number. You can find it in the Wallet tab under Details.
Manual deposit switch
If you encounter any issues when switching your direct deposit from your current employer to B9 using the B9 app, don't worry. You can always switch it manually. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Receive the manual form
To receive the form, go to the menu, select Switch Deposit, then choose Manual Deposit Switch. Confirm your email, and the form will be sent to you.
Step 2: Print the form
Print the form that was sent to your email, fill out the required information and sign it.
Step 3: Submit the form to employer
Submit the completed direct deposit form to your employer's human resources or payroll department. Make sure to keep a copy of the form for your records.
Step 4: Wait for your paycheck
Once your employer processes the direct deposit change, your paychecks will be deposited into your B9 account.
How long does it take for the changes to take effect?
It may take one or two pay cycles for the new direct deposit information to take effect. It's also important to verify with your employer that the switch was successful and that your paychecks are being deposited into your B9 account.
How can I change the deposit amount or bank information?
You can manage your deposit in the Switch Deposit section of the main menu. Alternatively, you can log into your payment platform directly to make the changes.
