If you've decided to delete your B9 account, here's a simple step-by-step guide on how to close your account:
Step 1: Follow to the Profile and choose Close account
Once you've selected "Close Account," the system will display the last steps you need to complete before closing your account permanently. Follow the instructions provided during this step and ensure you've completed all necessary requirements before proceeding further. Taking care of any pending matters will help ensure a smooth account closure process.
Step 2: Remove all your funds
Before closing your account, ensure that there are no pending transactions or balance due. If you decide to use transfer to an external wallet, please note that there may be fees on top of the transfer. Make sure to take the fees into account when transferring funds out of your B9 account.
We suggest using ACH (Automated Clearing House) for sending money out, as it is a free option and typically takes 1-3 days for processing. If you initiate an ACH transfer before 2 PM PST, most clients will receive the funds on the following day. This ensures a cost-effective and timely transfer process.
Step 3: Wait for Pending transactions to settle
If there are any pending transactions on your account, it's important to give them time to finalize. Once these transactions have cleared, your account balance will accurately reflect your available funds, allowing you to proceed with any further actions, such as closing your account.
Step 4: Remove direct deposit
If you have set up direct deposit to your B9 account, you need to remove it to avoid any future issues.
To cancel your direct deposit, access your payroll platform directly or contact your employer to make changes to the new bank account where the funds directed to B9 will be deposited. Please ensure that so no deposit tries to hit the B9 account. A closed account will immediately refuse and return any funds received there within 3-5 business days.
Step 5: Close account
After completing the previous steps, the "Close Account" button will become active. Simply tap on it, and you are all set. Your account will be blocked and scheduled to close after 30 days if no transactions posted. If you wish to cancel the closure of your account, simply get in touch with us, and we'll assist in unblocking your account.
If any deposit hit the account, the account closure will be cancelled and you will receive the notifications.
